These guys are masters of the understated riff, and write intricate, lovingly crafted songs. Heavy occult folk rock at a glance, but the nuances of the songwriting and musicianship produce a sublime sound that only becomes more apparent the more you listen. Their 2023 release is their zenith to date, notably due to the more mature sound of the vocals, recalling Dewey Bunnell of Horse With No Name fame. But this album is excellent in its own right.
